Iron board covers are an absolute necessity if you need to keep your ironing board last longer. These covers serve a number of other purposes. The covers are generally available in 100% cotton material, soft-stretch fabrics from artificial fibers etc. In case of the cotton covers you can choose between felt and foam backing material. They are available in various prints and designs as well.
You can purchase the metallic covers for your iron board. These covers let you get done with your ironing job with minimum power consumption. Unlike fabric covers; these covers do not absorb any heat and leads to quicker ironing. But these covers have limitations when it comes to colors and designs.
There are two types of fastenings in which the ironing board covers come. One is the elastic fastening and the other the drawstring fastenings. In case of the former; you can snugly fit the cover on the board. As far as the covers with drawstring fastenings are concerned; you can tighten or loosen them as per your convenience.
